choosing Katie

Today I'm being asked to choose who Katie is.

I've made some mistakes on purpose to see what would happen- to try to help myself grow through it, and to have a last ditch chance to be a teenager before I have to be what I've always been. In the process I've hurt some people and gotten myself in a load of trouble. I've basically given in to going around my parents, and stabbing at them from behind. It felt good and yet aweful at the time.

I've decided that being such a brat and purposefully hurting others isn't Katie. Katie needs to, and wants to be the person God wants her to be--- a person who respects her parents, (even when she doesn't agree with them,) and tries to prioritize the things that are important to her, and the things that are important to her future.

That doesn't mean that I'm leaving behind the things that are important to me, like my friends and the awesome fun and freedom, but I'm going to add respect and other priorities to the list of things I am. That's what God asks everyone to do, and I'm not exempt.
